Dangerous Power is a company that, until now, made paintball markers that always seemed to have a few design issues. However, with the new Dangerous Power G5, they have improved the flaws and quality control. The company has invested their time and resources to build a top quality electronic marker at an entry-level price. The Dangerous Power G5 isn’t just a slight modification of the G4. The company addressed all the issues with previous models of this series and the result is like an all-new paintball marker with better options and features.
What Is the Dangerous Power G5 Paintball Marker?
The Dangerous Power G5 is an entry-level paintball gun with features that feel more high-end that include a powerful, durable, versatile marker. The company’s paintball gun engineering has created a marker with a clean design loaded with features such as the stinger frame, wave trigger, subsonic bolt engine, and riptide regulator.
Dangerous Power G5 Paintball Marker Product Specs
Let’s look at some upgraded features of the Dangerous Power G5 and how the company has improved the design and overall performance of this paintball marker. Originally, the company was creating good paintball markers that had a following but their designs were flawed and difficult to use. With the G5, that is a departure from the old design features, and it really is like a new series of paintball marker in itself.
LOW-PRESSURE STINGER FRAME
The Danger Power G5 has a unibody frame made from high-grade aluminum making it light yet still very durable. This frame contains an inline reinforced Low-Pressure Stinger frame system including a heavy duty design. The frame is slightly smaller than an average size marker, but it doesn’t feel too small because the foregrip and handle grip are not connected, making enough space for you to move your hands without being confined within the trigger frame.
Macroless Hose Design
The Danger Power G5, which is a notable departure from the G4 design, has a macroless hose design, meaning all hoses are internally machined. The gas from the compressed air tank goes through a hose in the grip instead of a hose on the outside of the paintball marker. This change has streamlined the design and prevents an external hose from catching on something or getting in the way while you are in the middle of the game. Because the hose is in the handle grip and not outside the paintball gun, the handle grip is thicker than in previous models.
The Riptide Regulator is a high-pressure regulator that directs the flow of pressure from the Stinger Frame’s low-pressure system airlines and sends it smoothly and consistently in a fluid path to cycle the Dangerous Power G5 Paintball Marker. The Riptide Regulator comprises seven stationary O-ring stages which are engineered to combine pressure and create one controlled force.
Subsonic Bolt Engine
The subsonic bolt in the G5 is a simple design for anyone looking for an excellent performance bolt that is easy to take care of. This is perfect for beginners because of its simplicity with a few parts to care for. The Dangerous Power G5’s Subsonic Bolt Engine is a lower pressure paintball marker that gets accurate and high-powered performance. The ported vents on the marker’s bolt have a smooth motion during bolt-actuation. There is a subsonic flow of pressure from the pressure chamber and through the vented ports to cushion paint while delivering a powerful thrust.
The Dangerous Power G5 feedneck is a well-designed clamping feedneck. It has a low profile, cushioned lever lock and new locking nut for even extra grip.
The Dangerous Power G5 with its simple design and durability can be purchased online for around $300.

The Tippmann A-5 is a high-performance paintball marker with the patented Cyclone Feed hopper system for rapid firing of ammo. The Cyclone Feed system connects the feeder to the compressed air system resulting in faster feeding of ammo. Pull the Trigger 10 times a second, and the Tippmann A-5 feeds 10 balls per second. The A-5 is also easy to clean and maintain and has a no tool field strip feature allowing you to care for it easily without a lot of maintenance.
- Design Quality
A leader in technology and maximum firepower accuracy and durability, the A-5 base model comes with a semi-automatic fire mode and can shoot a fire rate of 9-15 balls per second, depending on how fast you pull the trigger. This is an excellent rate of fire for woodsball and scenario players, but you can add an E grip or response trigger systems to raise the speed of ammo fire. The Tippmann A-5 comes with a standard 8.5-inch barrel that will give a consistent range of about 150 feet. That can be improved by attaching a longer barrel to the A-5. The A-5 is able to be completely stripped and reassembled in the field in 60 seconds, without tools. It has an all-aluminum die cast receiver and durable black finish. Also included is a shock-absorbing end cap for reduced wear and recoil, front-cocking knob which allows for a fully enclosed receiver, and a 200-round wide-mouth hopper.Tippmann warrants to the original purchaser that it will make any repairs or replacements necessary to correct defects in material or workmanship, at no charge to you, for the Marker for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail sale.

Dye Proto Rail MaXXed Paintball Gun
Dye Proto Rail paintball gun is more expensive price scale for most entry-level players and is considered a good option for players looking to upgrade to a high-end gun. The Proto Rail Maxxed comes with a 14-inch barrel, shoots straight, and it can fire 15 balls per second.
- Design Quality
Because of the standard E-trigger on the Proto Rail, accuracy is improved because of the lack of recoil and the ability to rapidly and constantly shoot ammo at a higher rate. This was a game changer for player performance. The range of the Proto Rail is a standard 150 feet out of the box without modification. If adding a longer barrel or other modifications to this paintball marker gun, the quality of range could go up to 200 feet easily. The Proto Rail Maxxed with an E-trigger standard right out of the box where other models you have to upgrade. This means that you can save a lot of compressed air during play time by using an electronic circuit to power the auto-cocker firing mechanism. There is reduced recoil; it is a quieter gun, and accuracy is improved. Dye warrants to the original purchaser that it will make any repairs or replacements necessary to correct defects in material or workmanship, at no charge to you, for the Marker for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail sale.

While all four paintball marker guns reviewed were excellent and had many options and features that we felt were amazing, the Dangerous Power G5 had such improvement for the price that it was hard to ignore. The air hose hiding in the handle was a big improvement as well as the Subsonic Bold Design. The upgrades were a real plus, and the overall slim design and ease of use right out of the box give us an overall five-star impression of the G5.
